Samborski Environmental is launching a residential collection service for organic waste September 1st, 2010. This service will include a 21 gallon Norseman that latches shut,compostable liners for the bin and bi-weekly pick ups.

The costs are as follows:
Bi-weekly pick up for one year; $260.00
36 compostable liners for 21 gallon Norseman; $25.00
1 Norseman 21 gallon; $85.00
Keeping organics out of landfills; Priceless

The service will be a pre paid service for 26 pick ups, with additional pickups available upon request.

Organic material that is acceptable for the Norseman includes; pre and post consumer food waste including meat, bones and dairy product, eggshells, coffee grinds, coffee filters, tea bags, paper towel, paper napkins, shredded paper, newspaper, plant and flower trimmings. Certified compostable product such as cups, plates and cutlery are acceptable if BPI (Biodegradable Product Institute)certified. The program does not accept plastics, Styrofoam, aluminum foil, glass or hazardous waste.
